February 21, 7:30 p.m.—Three teenagers between 15 and 17 years of age tried to rob a 17-year-old man of his wallet and cell phone as he was walking on the 5100 block of South Lake Park Avenue. The three offenders approached the victim from behind, and one of them pushed him to the ground, according to a police report. While the victim was on the ground, the offenders removed his wallet and cell phone from his pockets and fled. The victim recovered his property after chasing the offenders, who dropped the stolen items as they fled the scene.
