Newsweek references the Maroon’s take on the U of C’s move to embrace the basic information portion of the Common Application:
So far, U of C students support the move, and the school paper endorsed it.
Sweet.Update: It is worth noting that the portion of the Newsweek article that I quoted is just untrue. Students have not supported the move at all, with nearly a thousand students signing an online petition to save the Uncommon and hundreds sporting “I am Uncommon” t-shirts around campus. But still, it’s cool to get referenced in Newsweek.
