Crime Report: November 8, 2005

An armed robbery occurred in a building on the 5200 block of South Blackstone Avenue at 9:40 p.m. on Sunday, November 6.

A man had just ordered food for delivery at one of the upper floors in the building when he encountered the offender in the lobby of the building. When the offender demanded the man’s money, the man struggled with him, knocking the offender to the floor. The offender took out a handgun and pointed it at the victim, who surrendered his cash.

The offender then fled in an unknown direction. He is described as a black man with a medium complexion, between 20 and 25 years of age, 6-foot, and about 175 pounds. At the time of the attack he was wearing a black skull cap, black jacket, and blue jeans.
