The November election will likely determine whether a federal bill calling on all non-sectarian higher education institutions in the country to adopt the Chicago Principles has a chance of passing.

In the first of a series of talks discussing “What Might Peace Look Like,” founding Faculty Director of the Chicago Forum on Free Inquiry and Expression professor Tom Ginsburg discussed the Israeli-Palestinian conflict with Salam Fayyad, who served as prime minister of the Palestinian Authority from 2007 to 2013.

The University announced that the Forum for Free Inquiry and Expression will be launched next fall, with Tom Ginsburg as the inaugural faculty director and Tony Banout as the inaugural executive director.
