Something (link not stable) might finally happen with Harper Theater:

The Harper Theater, 5238 S. Harper Ave., may reopen once again.The Owner of the Music Box Theater on the North Side told the Herald that he wants to restore the Harper for first-run art and foreign films

I’m not going to get my hopes up because I’ve heard of many ideas like this falling through for Harper Theater. But this would be pretty awesome. Promising news for Hyde Park.
