Rooting for France

Over at OxBlo

Over at OxBlog, David Adesnik tries to rationalize rooting for France in the World Cup tomorrow. I find myself wondering, why am I so excited about the potential of France beating Italy? And why is my feeling for the French team so devout?Like Adesnik, it has a lot to do with Zidane, who was amazing versus Brazil. He is, by far, the most exciting guy to watch on the field, and who could turn down a story like this one? Having watched most of the Cup, the only guy I could get more excited about would be the only man lankier than me. Yet he makes it look so cool. How do you do it Crouch? I’ve been wondering my whole life how to make long and scrawny cool.
