Tsunami relief

We would like to thank everyone who came out for Alpha Delta Phi’s ‘80s-themed tsunami relief party last Friday. With your help we raised $1042 dollars that we are donating directly to AmeriCares. While some were under the impression that their donations would go to the American Red Cross, we believe that the money will be better used by AmeriCares. Their lower overhead allows them to give 99 cents for every dollar donated to those in need whereas the American Red Cross delivers only 91 cents. AmeriCares helps distribute over $3000 of medicine and supplies to affected areas for every $100 donated to their organization. To date they have helped deliver over $4 trillion in aid. Once again, we thank you for your charitable contributions. If you would like more information on AmeriCares please visit www.americares.com, and to learn about other ways you can help visit www.charitynavigator.org.
