UAA honors Bishof’s tournament title
Second-year wrestler Mike Bishof was named the UAA Athlete of the Week for wrestling Tuesday.
Bishof, a first-time honoree, has won 9 of his last 11 matches. He dominated the 165-pound bracket at Saturday’s Manchester Invite, scoring one fall and giving up only escapes on his way to winning the weight class. He was the only title winner for the Maroons, leading the team to third place.
“It’s an honor to win this award, but I would be much happier to win the conference championship as a team tomorrow,” Bishof said.
Bishof and the wrestling team faces Case Western and NYU for the UAA Championship in New York tomorrow.

Men’s swimming ranked 14th
Having flown under the radar for years, men’s swimming has suddenly established itself as a national powerhouse. Coaches across the nation have taken noticed and currently have ranked Chicago 14th in Div. III, according to the CollegeSwimming.com poll.
They have been ranked at that slot since December 10, behind UAA opponents Emory (first), NYU (third), Case Western (11th), and Wash U (12th). A new poll should come out either today or at the beginning of next week, where the Maroons are expected to have moved up at least a slot. Maroon Sports will be sure to update a bit more quickly on those results.
Campus gym night hits Ratner

The SCC will also hand out Nalgene bottles to the first 200 attendees.
