Apparently, hosting the World Cup has done wonders for Germany’s birth rate. The German paper, Der Spiegel, is attributing a bump in the national birth rate to the hosting of the World Cup.The real question is–what does this mean for Mayor Daley’s insistence on winning Chicago an Olympic Bid? Are we looking at a future population explosion on the South Side?
