They’re magical because the AP seems to think that only one side can break them. This is the lede* in a piece headlined, “Israel threatens to renew attacks”:
After weeks of restraint, Israel said Wednesday that it will renew attacks on rocket-launching militants in the Gaza Strip threatening to derail an already shaky, month-old truce.
Right. Let me get this straight: “rocket-launching militants” haven’t derailed a truce but Israel “renew[ing] attacks on [THOSE SAME] rocket-launching militants” will?
