Our long national nightmare is over

Fresh off the wires (sort of), the

Fresh off the wires (sort of), the AP is reporting that Bill Richardson, our favorite portly, 3/4 hispanic, former non-professional baseball player, governor of New Mexico, is dropping out of the race after disappointing showings in Iowa and New Hampshire.I like Richardson, for all of the reasons listed above, but I don’t think he’ll be gone for very long. He received a lot of heat early on in the process for cozying up to Hillary during the debates, and a spot on the ticket (he brings a considerable amount of experience throughout the executive branch) is certainly not out of the question.
