Correction: January 12, 2007

The November 21 article, “Charges Erased after UCPD Wrongfully Arrests CPS Teen,” incorrectly categorized the arrest of Jemelle Lloyd as “wrongful.” Although Lloyd was found to have had no connection to the crime for which he was arrested, legally a “wrongful arrest” is a specific term that implies that the arrest was not made on “reasonable grounds.” The judge who dismissed charges against Lloyd did not find that his arrest met the criteria of a “wrongful arrest.”

The January 9 article, “Saller Leaves University after 22 Years,” incorrectly stated that the Institute for Advanced Study is based at Princeton University. The institute is located in Princeton, NJ, but operates independently of the university.
