Police reported evidence of forced entry on the front door of the apartment and suspected the criminal used a pry tool. Residents said numerous items were missing, including jewelry and a laptop computer.
An attempted burglary occurred on January 6 at 1:18 a.m. in the 5400 block of South Ingleside Avenue. Residents reported hearing a loud bang from the front side of their apartment, according to police reports, and discovered a man trying to gain entry through the front door. The offender fled the scene and never gained entry. No property was reported stolen.
