It appears that I was further mistaken in saying that pro-Israeli students had approached Professor Nussbaum with regards to their views being silenced. Professor Nussbaum has informed me that she had heard from other faculty of such complaints, but was never directly approached by the aforesaid students. I am exceedingly sorry for this error.

I did not in anyway mean to defame Professor Nussbaum or to attribute to her any political leanings that she has not herself stated. I regret that in reporting on the civility forum, I have misstated her position and compromised the record of her distinguished career at this University.
